Views of Sky and Art - Mountain Modern, Two-Level Home

We worked closely with Sean and Annie to build their mountain modern home west of Bend, OR. Designed by Tebbs Design Group, their home elegantly blends form and function, capitalizing on views of the sky around them.

We love being able to see the sky from several viewpoints from the center of the home.  We both love clouds and the landscape and feel like it is as much a part of the house as the actual art and furniture.
— Annie

This highly customized home includes features like a large steel staircase protruding from stone wall, an architectural wood block ceiling in the dining room, and a breakfast nook custom upholstered by Kimberly Hosang. Connection to the outdoors is an important element of the homes we build and is amplified in this home by wall of windows in the great room that opens to the ample outdoor living spaces.

This steel staircase is cantilevered from the large stone wall that runs from the exterior to the center of the home.

We have so. many “happy spots”.  In the winter, Sean’s study is our favorite spot - the inviting real wood fireplace, paired with our vinyl collection of great albums. We often eat dinner in there, and always play a hand of gin before dinner prep begins.
