Two-Story Riverside Home with Coastal Influences

We built Mike and McKenna’s Cape Cod inspired home with a unique and hard to find setting on the Deschutes River. The original structure in the center of Bend, OR was a dilapidated, older home that we removed before construction this custom home designed by Jason Todd.

Cute and comfortable, this home offers unparalleled connection to the outdoors with the main living area featuring 24 feet of folding door that opens completely to a covered deck, fire pit and beautiful yard. The primary bedroom is nestled into older trees that we were careful to preserve during the demolition and construction process.

24 ft folding door that opens the main living area to the backyard and the Deschutes River.

The garden/yard in the front of the house, designed by Land Effects, is one of Mike and McKenna’s favorite elements of their home.

Living here is a dream come true and so fun. We love hosting friends and neighbors over. We feel so lucky to be here.

We appreciated Kristian and the team’s patience as we made some last minute changes and their willingness to get creative in order to save some of the beautiful trees very close to the house.

Great process, great team. Can’t recommend enough.
