Meet the Team
Founder & Owner
-
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Kristian always wanted to build homes. He began working in the construction industry in the early 1990’s, and soon launched.
his first roofing company. Expanding his experience, he started a framing company. When a well-established developer saw his ability, Kristian moved on to a Project Management role. Overseeing multiple housing projects, he honed his already keen ability to problem solve, manage crews, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
In 2000, Kristian formalized Timberline Construction of Bend as a general contracting company. Together with the growing Timberline Team, he began constructing a wide variety of homes – craftsman and lodge, modern and old world. With homes ranging from high end luxury to groundbreaking and sustainable, Kristian cultivated his most inherent skill – building relationships. His positivity and productive approach have led to strong connections with tradespeople, suppliers, architects and designers, and especially homeowners.
Outside of work, Kristian is an ardent outdoorsman. A life-long skier and mountain biker, Kristian is adventurous and energetic about getting deep into the wilderness.
Business Manager
-
Since 2014, Shon’s role with Timberline has evolved from part-time support, to special projects lead, to full time Business Manager. Born and raised in Central Oregon, Shon has been in the homebuilding industry since 2002, working in Marketing, Operations, and Project Management. Serving as the Executive Director of First Story, building homes for low income families, Shon combined her education in architecture and interest in home building.
Now married to and working side by side with Kristian, Shon appreciated the opportunity to engage in construction and use her skills to improve processes to keep the Timberline team organized. When she’s not in the office, she’s nordic skiing, biking, or working on her Hobby Farm - spending as much time as possible with her pups, Berti and Oliver.
Project Manager
-
An Oregon native and Bend Resident since 1997, Kevin has spent much of his adult life in the construction industry. His college years included work doing repair and maintenance construction.
He became Timberline’s first employee as a framer in 2001. In addition to technical knowledge, his attention to detail, organization, and clear communication style made him well suited to become a project manager in 2006.
After he completed school, Kevin worked as an outdoor educator and mountain guide in the West and Pacific Northwest. This work strengthened his innate critical thinking and creative problem solving skills. Kevin has translated his approach to hurdles faced in the backcountry into a pragmatism that allows him to meet the challenges of building truly one of a kind, custom homes. With a particular talent for visualizing 2-dimensional concepts as their eventual 3-dimensional realities, Kevin takes great pride in seeing his work result in the creation of someone’s dream home.
Beyond Timberline, Kevin is passionate about the outdoors. As a former mountain guide, avid skier, and a long-term practitioner of yoga and mindfulness, Kevin strives to engage with the world productively and positively.

David was born and raised in Maine. After visiting Bend since 2016, he made it his permanent home in in 2019.
David’s dad is a general contractor and from an early age he was on and around jobsites. His earliest "job" was picking up nails for 5cents a piece.
After getting a degree in International Business and working around the world for 10 years, he decided to construct his own ADU. Inspired to return to the building industry and he was introduced to Kristian and Shon and joined our team in November of 2023.
David loves the high standard Timberline applies to everything we touch and is grateful for the vision Timberline clients bring to each projects. His empathy, clear communication and expectation setting skills make him an important part of our team.
When he’s not at work, David enjoys skiing, mountain biking, photography, snowmobiling, home building and design.
