Ball Residence Remodel and Casita

The Ball Residence Re-model and Casita project had several different distinct aspects to the building project. In order to accommodate a new built in pool, spa, and Accessory Dwelling Unit – The Casita – lot lines needed to be adjusted and a pool site prepared on a typically steep Awbrey Butte home site. In addition to this new construction, we re-modeled portions of the existing home. The re-model was focused on the main level common areas and revolved around a relocated and enlarged new kitchen though the overall project scope was fairly extensive. In the end, a new professional grade kitchen was added as well as new utility, pantry and office areas. The garage was added to in order to accommodate for the space that the home annexed. The exterior façade was changed in order to make the remodel seem more integrated as well as to simply increase the aesthetic of the home. Many of the common area finishes were updated as well including all new wood trim work, new windows, door systems, flooring materials, paint, fireplace, interior stone work, an enlarged walk-in tile shower in the master bath, additional deck space, new central vacuum system, and many other items too numerous to list. At project completion, the Ball’s essentially have an entirely new and updated residence that only partially resembles the home that stood there when the project was undertaken.
